Amorosso, a portmanteau name for the Italian words for ‘Love’ and ‘Red’, perfectly describes this wine; a ruby red color when young, which then deepens with age. The nose excites with hints of ripe cherries, plums and a touch of liquorice. Combined aromas of fruit, spices and dark coffee with pronounced tannins and a high alcohol content produce a dry robust wine with everlasting flavors on the finish. A fruity and liqueur-like wine is well balanced with a noble bitterness.

Since 1978 family owned & operated Wagner Vineyards Estate Winery in the Finger Lakes region of New York has been growing grapes in the deep glacial soils on the eastern slopes of Seneca Lake for five generations. This paramount grape growing location produces a unique dry Riesling with notes of mineral on the nose and citrus, apples and fresh fruit on the palate, with a crisp refreshing acidity.

This wine is a proprietary blend of Chilean Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere. It has a deep garnet robe with violet reflections. The attack is aggressive, almost overpowering, and then the wine starts to unfold and its rich earthy tones become evident. The aroma has a bouquet of abundant ripe wild berries with a hint of peppers and spice that are in perfect harmony with and a slight “leathery” finish.

Bold and full bodied, the Australian Petit Verdot is a rising star that offers up flavors of dark fruits; black cherry, plums with firm tannins and hints of spice. A high quality grape from the warm and dry climate of New South Wales offer thicker skins and a rich colour that is capable of yielding intense big and luscious wines.

Meglioli- Finger Lakes Cabernet Franc Ros

Bright rosé colored with some orange hues, this medium-bodied Cabernet Franc Rosé is not your average. Its tannins and acidity are in perfect harmony. The nose is a mix of elderflowers, bell peppers, and dark chocolate. Best savored chilled on its own with good company or served slightly warmer with tomato-based dishes.

FOOD PAIRING: Tapas, tomato fish chowder, chili mussels or a nice cheeseboard.

COMMENTS: This wine has character and finesse and is not for traditional rosé enthusiasts.

Meglioli- Spanish Cabernet Sauvignon

This full-bodied, dark red cherry-colored Cabernet Sauvignon possesses a bouquet mainly of ripe fruits and floral hints. On the palate, it opens with a strong attack that settles into a smooth lingering finish. Balanced with the right acidity and tannins produces a fleshy/fruity mouthfeel that is stable and pleasant.

FOOD PAIRING: An ideal partner for grilled steaks, hamburgers and braised short ribs.

COMMENTS: Can be consumed young (6 months) or left to age to gather more complexity.
