Wax Beads - Assorted Colours, 1lb to 50lbs

Assorted colours. 1 lb of wax beads is enough for 65 bottles, depending on the depth and thickness of wax on the bottle. 

To apply wax to your bottles:

1. Make sure your bottles and corks are clean and dry.
2. Pour wax beads into a suitable container and place it in a pan with 3" of water. For a small amount of wax, a soup can makes a good container. Unused wax can be cooled and stored in the can. 
3. Heat the water until the wax melts. Maintain a wax temperature between 160-170 F.
4. Dip bottle top in wax for 10-15 seconds, then pull straight up, keeping bottle inverted.
5. When excess run-off stops, turn bottle upright.

Caution:

• Do not drip melted wax on your skin!
• Heating wax to a temperature over 450 F could result in combustion.
• Never pour water on a wax fire. Use a fire extinguisher or cover with a metal lid.
