Barrel Washing

Multipurpose cleaner that works well with wood barrels and bungs, as well as other winemaking equipment.

Citric acid is a colourless, weak organic acid with a sour nature.  It is used predomininatly for flavouring and for preservation in the food and beverage industries world-wide. 

Winemakers use citric acid if no MLF will be used to correct the aciditity in their wines.

We recomend your filter pads be soaked in a solution (1L water + 0.75g pottasium metabisulphate + 3.5g citric acid to rid them of the "cardboard" taste

Citric acid is as part of the cleaning/neutralizing of wooden barrels, as well as passivating stainless steel.

Spinning Barrel Nozzle that throws water against the barrel walls. This spray ball should be operated at the pressure of a standard garden hose. That pressure is what this nozzle works best at. This is not a high pressure nozzle.  

To be used with a spray ball to clean barrels. Complete with ball valve.

Barrel washing stand is made to slide under a standard barrel rack and have the nozzle poke up into the bung hole of the barrel. It has extra stout legs and a skid plate protecting the 1" tube at the elbow where it slides on the ground when installing in a barrel. Each end of the stand is a 3/4" MNPT fitting.
