The ThruMometer, as its name implies, is an in-line thermometer. It is designed to be inserted into a line so that liquid flows through the thermometer, literally "in one end and out the other." It is the most sanitary way to determine the exact wort temperature from your counterflow chiller to get your fermentation off to a quick, bacteria-free start.
